Some of you may or may not have already known I was a university student studying Civil Engineering. Well, as of yesterday, I have been awarded a 2.1 MEng degree for my trouble, which I am exstatic about because of all the time I've put in, all the sleepless nights, all the things I have put off because I've been working on coursework and generally making myself ill because I wanted to do so so well! I say it's paid off pretty well!

Not officially graduated yet, but the marks will not be changing now and the ceremony is just a public confirmation of the degree classification.

I'm so happy at the moment!

My last post gathered very little stuff, so Writing Monday's over on Wolfish Written have gone back to general writing rambling. I'm hoping to have some more things later in the Summer when all my current stuff is out of way. I'm beginning to get tired of working at my computer, so sitting down to work on Sons of Lur is just not happening (though the ideas keep coming).

My birthday has given loads of books to read, particularly the Song of Ice and Fire series that has just come to Sky Atlantic (ee!). Because I don't get Sky but a family member does, I have to wait a bit before I get any episodes to watch when I go round to theirs, so I've been keeping myself busy between work with the books instead. I've found them to be really good to read during work, though I'm sure I'll get into them when I can indulge for days at a time.

Speaking of birthday, I bought some new things for my 3D graphics software, so hopefully you'll be seeing more dragon related things soon.

---

I have an itch to do crafty things the other day, so set to cutting the fabric for Lord A384's character trousers in the evening. I then spent the next day working on them and have almost finished them - just buttonholes to make and the other leg to hem before finishing off the facing. They were suprisingly easy to work with once I got them cut out (so need a decent table to cut on rather than the floor. I miss the table we had at the other house) and figured out the pinning. Photos to follow and hopefully some more once we get out daytime adventuring.

The next projects I'm thinking about is making a proper costume for Mercy Blackstaff - skirt, shirt and bodice ready for Summerfest. I found that wearing my current get up is lovely and warm during the winter under my black robe and cloak, but a little weighty when we start running, so a little less skirt hiking and a lighter garb might be better nearer the summer. If we keep with the current weather then I'll be a happy little healer.

Our LARP branch has been busy recently running the monthly day and nightsites for the members and I've been out adventuring and crewing in turn. We had a really good one the other weekend, though it did get bitterly cold towards the middle of the night and we weren't running enough to quite get rid of the chill. Cold also affects the weapons, so towards the end I got a little wimpy and started to complain when I got wacked (though I still say getting pummeled on the ribs required it - those really hurt!).

In other news I finally have a staff, bought off a society member, and feel stupidly proud of having a bit of latex "wood" kicking around my work room.

I came 2nd in the Digital Category of Nathie's contest, which I am really excited about! (!!). Follow the link here to see the other winners: nathie.deviantart.com/journal/…

Some of you may be aware that I run a personal writing/art blog, which has a tri-weekly schedule of Writing Posts, Randomness and Art on mondays, wednesdays and fridays.

For the Writing Mondays, I've done the odd bits and bobs looking into my characters and the world setting and stuff like that. But I've run out of stuff to talk about (that doesnt give away spoilers and/or gets too far ahead of what I'm working on) and I need your help.

Please!

I know that most people don't read the blog, but I'd like some suggestions on what I can do for Writing Monday (Random Wednesday and Art Friday will not be changing). Got any burning questions you want answered?

All ideas accepted gladly.

Thanks for all your help!

Some of you may be aware that I'm in the process of writing my novel and I have to admit that I would love any and all Beta readers when the time comes. Any volunteers?

Also, just a reminder that dragon mugs are now purchasable from here cgi.ebay.co.uk/Multiple-Dragon…. Custom orders can be requested.

That is all :D
